As with other websites that I’ve been a part of, one main goal here was to keep it as lightweight as possible within budget. So very few plugins were used, while filling in the gaps with custom code. No point in loading an entire plugin if some CSS/Javascript/PHP will do the trick.
Tech Specs:
Gravity Forms
WP Bakery integration for all frontend templates. (I also have moderate experience with both Elementor and Divi)
Heavy footwork with custom post types & ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) to keep all testimonials, articles, TV/Podcast appearances organized in a way that Lee could manage them himself if desired without my involvement.
Many hours of extra finesse & time spent to create a unique design, while working side-by-side with Lee section-by-section.
Premise:
A well-seasoned writer, author, speaker, talkshow-guest and fitness coach in Ontario, Canada, Lee came to me wanting to redesign his original website about 11 years ago — we’re still in touch regularly, and he’s been through multiple renditions of that website with me, since.
He needed to be able to showcase his coaching programs, blog articles, print magazine articles, online-outlet articles, Podcast guest speaker & TV appearances, and his speaking/keynote engagement events all in one place to continue building his network within his industry for his “Real Training. No Nonsense.” approach to fitness.
